As the host of The Hidden Athlete Podcast, Ross Burrage (@rossburrage) speaks with people from all over the globe about their accomplishments and what drives them as athletes.

Ross is a hidden athlete in his own right. After raising three kids, an endurance sport in and of itself, and upon entering his 40’s, Ross was drawn to pushing his limits in endurance sports. In 2019 he finished the Tour Divide in 25 days on his single speed and plans to come back in 2021 to have another crack on gears.

As the Finance and Sustainability Manager at the Cotton On Foundation, Ross is heavily involved in philanthropic projects that “empower youth globally through the delivery of quality educational projects in Uganda, South Africa, Thailand and Australia. “

Another project that Ross is extremely proud to be involved in is the formation of the Masaka Cycling Club in Uganda. The club was formed to showcase the athletic talent in the region and to bring hope to youth in this very poor and suppressed part of the world.

Ross now also hosts the Masaka Cycling Club Podcast in which he talks about recent developments with the club and includes interesting conversations with key stakeholders of the project.

We cover a wide variety of topics in this conversation and, as usual, we take many twists and turns along the way. I really appreciated Ross taking the time to talk and it was a pleasure to connect with him. I hope you enjoy listening in.
